Archant is a privately owned media company serving geographical and specialist interest communities with over 140 brands and associated websites. They have a large portfolio of UK-based regional newspapers with titles in East Anglia, London, Kent and the South West, and publish 1.35 million copies a week in print.
Additionally Archant is the largest publisher of regional and local lifestyle magazines and associated digital media in the UK, and also owns a range of specialist magazine titles circulating predominantly in the UK and USA. Their portfolio of 75 magazine titles includes county, specialist interest and wedding magazines. - Project
- Archant were looking for a print and mailing partner to produce a cost-effective solution to send out magazine subscription renewals to their customers. They spoke with Royal Mail and they recommended us as a preferred direct mail partner as part of their ‘Mail Made Easy’ scheme. The brief was to receive a single database with subscribers flagged against their specific magazine choice and produce a renewal mailing campaign with best value print and postage costs.

- In the first instance we needed to create a single sorted mailing campaign to take advantage of the Royal Mail Advertising Mail Sustainable Mailmark discount. The challenge was to take a series of letters with unique branding for each magazine and then merge the name and address personalisation. Effectively the unique magazine branding would change letter-by-letter. We solved this by colour laser printing the output using variable image PDF templates supplied by the client. This allowed us to take one flagged database and mail the customer a renewal letter branded for the magazine that they subscribed to and yet still gain bulk sorted mail discounts.
